College/Career Coach Alie has worked with high school and college students for over 12 years in various school settings. She enjoys working with students who planning to pursue higher education after high school. Alie has worked closely with students to select colleges and universities and chose a major that will help them to do something they would enjoy. She has taken several courses in career planning, even after earning her MS degree. Alie also has experience (as a parent and school counselor) with college applications, financial aid, scholarships, resume and employment researching, etc.
Some of her accomplishments include approval of a NCAA school accreditation school program, developing a high school Dual Enrollment program, and starting a National Honor Society club. She has taught courses such as Career Explorations, College Prep, Education and Career Planning, Service and Work Based Learning courses. Additionally, she specializes in working with students who have learning disabilities and special needs (as a mother of a special needs child and professional in the school system).
Alie has a Master of Science in School Counseling from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University Utah. She is a member of the Arizona School Counseling Association and the American School Counseling Association (where she was a conference presenter in 2009). She holds School Counseling certificates in Arizona and California.
